Ways to Get Involved

Tournament Judging
When Fr. Michael re-started the Delbarton Forensic Society years ago, he started a tradition of asking our program's parents to volunteer as tournament judges throughout the season or assist in hiring
We ask that the family of each student volunteer to judge at a minimum of two tournaments throughout the season. This tradition not only strengthens our decently sized program's ability to enter multiple students across several tournament events and competitive success but also welcomes parents into the speech & debate community with their child. However, we understand that there are multiple circumstances that might prevent a parent from volunteering. In this case, we ask that parents pay $150 per tournament ($300 total for 2 tournaments) to help our program hire enough judges for our tournament attendance.
This google form will help the coaches keep track of indicated parent interest.

Team Snacks
Practices and Tournaments are long hours of preparation and competition for our kids. Thus, we want to make sure they are staying hydrated and fed in the afternoons and weekends. We ask that families consider signing up for a slot to provide an assortment of snacks and water throughout the season. Thank you!

Forensics Events
Throughout the year, we host different events so that we can all gather and bond as a collective forensics family. Additionally, we host the New Jersey’s Speech & Debate District Tournament in March. So we always are looking for volunteers to help our program pull off these events.
